CrossPoint's New Site is Up

CrossPoint (my church) has a new website. The whole team that worked on this did a great job and I think it captures the personality of our church very well. Just figured I'd put the link up for all to see.

Summer is Here

I know it may be blasphemous here in Seattle to claim that summer has arrived before the 4th of July, but looking at the forecast and out my window, I feel like I can confidently say that summer is now here. Summer is not actually my favorite season, but there are things I really like about it...so I'll share what I'm looking forward to this summer with you:

-Independence Day...yep, its tomorrow. I like fireworks, bbq, beer, friends...what better way to celebrate the freedom we have.

-Bite of Seattle (we all know I like food so this should be no surprise)

-SeaFair (ok, to be honest, I like the idea of SeaFair, I've really never done any of the SeaFair stuff, but I might give it a try this year...the Pirates land on Alki this Saturday)

-University District Farmers Market - open year round, but it is at its best during the summer months.

-the sky will likely remain clear for the next 2 months temperatures in the mid to upper 70s.

-trips to The Mix (an ice cream shop) to break up the work day

-bbq in the evenings when i get home from work (salmon, steak, chicken, veggies, stone fruit...all soooooo good bbq'd)

-Baseball...catching M's games when the roof at Safeco is open is unbeatable
-Camping, hiking, just hanging outdoors...there are just too many choices...the Olympics, the Cascades, the beaches, the lakes
-I have at least one more exciting thing going on, but I can't get into details yet
